For example, ActiveX is commonly used by Microsoft Internet Explorer for web page development, wherein users are prompted to put up their queries, reply to questions, input using push buttons and interact in other multiple ways with the web pages. However, ActiveX programs or applications also come with a word of caution from website development services.
ActiveX custom web development applications provide full access to the Operating system and other system resources that may be misused by malicious elements. So, you should be careful at the time you are allowing an ActiveX application/ program to execute in your system.

Internet Explorer takes it for granted that you have already accepted the execution of ActiveX program.
One difficulty with programs of ActiveX is that it can perform any task from your computer’s memory hard disk without taking permission of denial or acceptance from the user interface. For instance, if it doesn't work properly, it might be due to a user interface error or any bug that it can even crash Internet Explorer. Moreover it can even delete your files without asking.
