Buying a Mother of the Bride Dress
Your daughter has announced her wedding and aside from all the things that you have to do to help, you also need to get a very special dress for yourself. Here are some tips to help you decide which is the perfect gown for you.

Make sure you have an idea of what you can spend. Remember that weddings can be expensive and that the dress is not the only purchase you will make . It's a good idea to make a list for yourself on what you need and how much you can afford to spend on each item. Then shop for your gown with this budget in mind.

These look very classy. Some mothers opt for a color similar to the colors of the bridesmaids' gowns and this looks very nice also. Keep in mind the general rule of wedding colors, which is lighter colors for spring and summer, and deeper colors for fall and winter.
If your daughter is having a smaller and more casual wedding and she is wearing a simple dress, then follow suit with a less elaborate gown. Consider short sleeves and a simple style. If the wedding is more formal, then a rhinestone-studded dress will fit right in.
