Multimedia projectors and visualizer
Canon's LV-7245 (2,500 ANSI lumens, pictured here), LV-7240 (2,100 ANSI lumens), and LV-X5 (1,500 ANSI lumens) multimedia projectors feature XGA (1024x768) resolution, a 400:1 contrast ratio, and a 1.2X zoom lens. The projectors include S-video, composite, and component connections, two VGA input terminals, one VGA output terminal, and audio input/output. The company also released the RE-455X visualizer, which offers 12X power zoom, an RS232C terminal, VGA input and output, and S-video and composite video outputs. Price: $2,499 (LV-7245); $1,999 (LV-7240); $1,399 (LV-X5); $2,299 (RE-455X). Availability: currently available (all models).
Video splitter/switch
The Hall Research CP-200 two-channel component video splitter/switch is a dual-purpose unit that can function as a one-in, two-out splitter, or as a two-in, one-out switcher. The device is compatible with analog component video (YCbCr or YPbPr) and RGB signals. The CP-200 supports all RGB, TV, and HDTV resolutions up to 1080i. The unit features three BNC connectors per channel, and includes RCA-to-BNC adapters for use with 3-BNC or 3-RCA cables. Price: N/A. Availability: currently available.
