So you want to go caroling but you're not sure where to go or who to take with you? Follow these easy steps to make a caroling trip to remember.
Pick a nicely lit place to carol. The neighborhoods that have many lights put up everywhere are the ones you want to carol for. This is not only a safety precaution, but this also means that the people residing in this neighborhood have Christmas spirit and would love to stop and listen to bring back the feeling and tradition of Christmas. You don't have be a door-to-door caroler. You can also stand in the park singing as people pass by. Everyone knows how annoying Christmas shopping is, and I believe that it would relieve some stress for me if I heard a group of carolers singing about Christmas spirit as I was squeezing through a crowd of shoppers, so try caroling in the middle of the mall or out in front. Choose a reasonable time to go. I would suggest going caroling right after dinner when you know everyone is home and ready to relax with a cup of hot cocoa. This will add to their enjoyment of the evening. Take your family with you. Caroling with friends is a great way to spend a night of the holidays, but it would mean so much more to you and your family if you would invite them along instead. It gives you a great feeling knowing you are doing something as a family for the holidays. Choose traditional carols. People mostly want to hear the old time favorite Christmas songs like "O Holy Night" or "O Come All Ye Faithful". This takes people back to the original meaning of Christmas and they enjoy it much more. However, it would be cute to have your little brother or sister sing a verse of "Rudolph", "Frosty" or "Jingle Bells". ...
