How to Curl Eyelashes
If you're not blessed with long or luscious lashes, then you've probably tried everything on the market that can make your eyelashes stand out. Besides mascara and heaps of liner, you can give yourself knockout eyes by curling your eyelashes. Follow these steps to curl your eyelashes.STEP 1: Heat your curler. Although you can curl your eyelashes without an eyelash curler, it's far easier to use an eyelash curler to get those voluptuous curls. Begin by heating your eyelash curler with your blow dryer for a few seconds. You don't want the metal to be hot, so make sure you let it cool down to warm before proceeding to the next step. If not, you'll burn yourself.STEP 2: Curl your lashes. If you've never used one, eyelash curlers move much like scissors. Place a finger in each grip, move your fingers in and out, and you've got the basic movements of an eyelash curler. Now that you know how to move the curler, you can curl your lashes. Begin with the eyelash curler open and approach your eye. Move the curler so that the top and bottom of the eyelash curler sandwich your lashes, and then clamp down on the lashes as close to the root of your eyelashes as you can get. Hold this position for about 30 seconds. Open the eyelash curler and move it away from your eyes. If you're not happy with the curl of your lash, simply repeat the process. Do this for the top lashes of both eyes. It is not necessary to curl your bottom lashes, as they're usually too short for this effect to show. Like hair, your eyelashes will eventually lose their curl, especially if they get wet. To keep this look, you will need to curl your eyelashes every day. It is critically important that you do not curl your eyelashes with any mascara on them. It will act like a glue and also take away from the flexibility of the lash. Clamping an eyelash curler onto an eyelash with mascara on it is the quickest way to get your eyelashes to fall out. Take the time to curl your lashes before you add mascara and they'll stay fuller.
