The "Lambert Rocks" campaign kicked off in November 2007, with the addition of 70 rocking chairs so passengers can be more comfortable. Lambert-St. Louis International Airport houses the largest airport USO in the world. This USO is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to military personnel and their families. More than 500 volunteers work to offer a variety of free services to our nation's heroes and their families. The USO at Lambert offers a large lounge complete with couches, TV, DVD player, and video games. Free beverages and snacks are always offered, and for those who need it, there is a sleeping area with lounge chairs and a wake-up service.

Military personnel and their families will also enjoy a nursery and playroom, temporary luggage storage, personal care items, and a Cyber café. There is also a Chaplain available to those who may need Chaplain services. Transportation information is available, as well as free Metro Link passes. Those using the USO facilities also have access to a canteen area with tables and chairs.

There are many situations when military personnel and their families may benefit from the USO and the services offered at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. Although these services and volunteers are critical and much appreciated during times of emergency, there are also other times when the USO and all the amenities it offers can be a big help.
